Tour Summary

After completing our Cabo San Lucas PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Certification program, you'll be entirely qualified to scuba dive in sixty foot deep water anywhere on the globe. You will not find a more suitable locale to begin scuba diving than off the Baja Peninsula. The waters of the Sea of Cortez are remarkably calm and transparent throughout the year. The awe-inspiring sights beneath the surface of these waters are truly marvelous to behold. The prismatic coral gardens in this region are bustling with hundreds of aquatic species, including tropical fish, manta rays, crustaceans, mollusks, sea turtles, and eels.

Cabo San Lucas has a number of fabulous dive sites, including Neptune's Finger, Pelican Rock, Bahia Chileno, Santa Maria Cove, and the Blow Hole. Neptune's finger and Pelican Rock are located in the Cabo Marine Preserve near the Cabo Marina downtown. The Golden Corridor, a stretch of coastline between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, is home to a number of federally-protected bays and coves. The waters of the Sea of Cortez are home to an array of sponges, and soft and hard corals, including gorgonians and sea fans.

The Open Water Certification program is divided into three crucial stages: book study and classroom lectures, pool exercises and practice, and, finally open water dives. Usually, the course requires three to four days to finish. The program includes five class sessions, five confined-water dives in a pool, and four open-water dives in the Sea of Cortez.

Eagle Divers has two custom dive vessels to transport you quickly and comfortably to your dive site. The twenty-five-foot Eagle Divers and the spanking new thirty-foot Eagle Divers II. Our newest boat, the Eagle Divers II is powered by dual 75 horsepower outboard motors.

I have been to the Bahamas many times, but Eagle Divers Open Water Certification Course is one of my favorite trips! It includes everything that everyone should do here. As a Bahamas veteran, I can say only the best about this experience!

Thanks to the professional guides! I was a bit worried about kayaking because I had never done it before, but the instructions were great and I had such a good time!
